Coastal Workshop

Work Services

A paid work experience is available in The Coastal Redemption Center or in our Bulk Mailing Center. Workers receive instruction and training in work-related skills, safety, and community awareness.

Individuals in these programs have the opportunity to participate in community based activities that include swimming, strength training, and volunteer work. Workers interested in community-based employment are referred for job placement services.

Personal, Social, and Community Services

The Personal, Social, and Community Services programs focus on enhancing individual skills in communication, socialization, self-care, and community awareness and involvement.

Activities are planned according to individual interests and abilities. Participants are involved in many activities off site that include use of the library, exercise and swim programs, bowling, gardening, and shopping. Participants are encouraged to volunteer for activities at the local animal shelter, Meals on Wheels, the Food Pantry, Salvation Army Thrift Store, the Owls Head Transportation Museum, and the Methodist Church seniors' lunch program.
